“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1 (KJV).
- God is Our Provider
David begins by declaring that the Lord is his Shepherd. A shepherd cares for every need of the sheep, ensuring they have food, water, and protection. In the same way, God knows exactly what you need. He may not always provide what you want immediately, but He promises to supply what is best for you according to His perfect will.
“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” – Psalms 23:1

2. God Gives Us Rest
Life can become overwhelming with work, responsibilities, and challenges. Yet God invites us to rest in His presence. David describes green pastures and quiet waters, images of peace, renewal, and security.
