You’re Not Behind: Trust God’s Timing

Feeling like everyone is moving ahead while you’re still waiting? Remember, God’s timing is never late. Your journey is different, and your waiting season may be preparing you for something greater. Trust His process, keep believing, and remember—you are not behind.

By Sade Obisesan

Have you ever looked around and wondered, “Why is everyone moving ahead while I’m still waiting?”

Someone is getting married. Someone is starting a business. Someone is buying a house. Someone is achieving the dream you have been praying about for years. And suddenly, you begin to feel like you are falling behind.

But here is the truth: your journey is not a competition.

God does not measure your life by someone else’s timeline.

God Has a Different Timeline for You

We often want God to work according to our schedule. We want the answer now, the breakthrough now, and the open door now.

But God’s timing is never careless.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in its time.

Sometimes what feels like a delay is actually preparation. God may be developing your character, strengthening your faith, redirecting your path, or preparing you for something you are not yet ready to carry.

Stop Comparing Your Journey

Comparison can make you despise your own progress.

You may not be where you want to be yet, but take a moment to look back. You are not where you used to be.

Every prayer, every lesson, every difficult season, and every small step has been part of your journey.

Don’t let someone else’s chapter make you question your own story.

Waiting Does Not Mean God Has Forgotten You

There are seasons when heaven seems silent.

You pray, but nothing appears to change. You believe, but the answer seems far away.

Keep trusting.

A seed does not become a tree overnight. Some things grow beneath the surface before they become visible.

Your waiting season may be doing more in you than you can see right now.

Keep Moving While You Wait

Trusting God’s timing does not mean sitting still.

Pray. Prepare. Learn. Serve. Grow. Keep doing what God has placed in your hands.

Your responsibility is faithfulness. God’s responsibility is the timing.

You don’t have to rush into the wrong door simply because you are afraid of being left behind.

A Word for You

If you feel behind today, take a breath.

You are not forgotten.
You are not disqualified.
You are not too late.
God is still writing your story.

Trust His timing. Keep walking. Keep believing.

What God has planned for you will not require you to become someone else to receive it.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

Your journey is different. Your timing is different. And that’s okay. Trust God. Your season will come.

God bless!
